Creating an account is simple and free:

1. **Click "Sign Up"** on the homepage

2. **Enter your details** - name, email, and password

3. **Start comparing** - search for products and see prices across stores

You can also sign up using your Google account for faster registration.

Welcome to MasterMarket! Here's what to do first:

1. **Explore Products** - Browse the catalog or search for specific items. Product pages show prices from all 5 supermarkets (Tesco, Aldi, SuperValu, Lidl and Dunnes Stores)

2. **Create Your First Basket** - Add products and compare the total cost. On the Free plan the basket compares up to 3 stores at once; Premium compares all 5

3. **Set Up Price Alerts** - Get an email when a product drops to your target price

4. **Add Your Loyalty Cards** - In Settings, mark the loyalty schemes you use (e.g. Tesco Clubcard) so member prices are shown correctly

Shopping baskets help you compare total costs across stores:

**Creating a Basket:**

1. Search for products or browse categories

2. Click "Add to Basket" on any product

3. Adjust quantities as needed

4. Compare the total at each store

**Managing Your Baskets:**

- **Save baskets** for future shopping trips

- **Share baskets** with family members via a link

- **Export lists** to take shopping

- **Compare totals** across your selected stores

**Basket Optimizer:**

- See the cheapest option for each item

- Get total savings calculations across stores

**Plan limits:**

- Free: 1 saved basket, up to 15 items, compare up to 3 stores at once

- Premium: unlimited items and saved baskets, all 5 stores at once

MasterMarket shows you prices from 5 Irish supermarkets:

**Where Prices Come From:**

- Prices are collected automatically from the supermarkets' websites twice a week (Monday and Thursday)

- Promotions are refreshed weekly (Sunday)

- Community members can also submit prices they see in store

- Each price shows when it was last updated

**Accuracy:**

- Collected prices can be out of date between updates, and in-store prices can differ from online prices

- Users can vote on submitted prices to flag ones that look wrong

- If you spot a wrong price or a missing product, let us know through the contact form

Price alerts tell you when a product reaches the price you want to pay:

**Creating Price Alerts:**

1. Find the product you want to track

2. Click the "🔔 Alert" button

3. Set your target price

4. Optionally pick a specific store (or any store)

5. Activate the alert

**How You're Notified:**

- By email, when a price at or below your target is found

**Managing Alerts:**

- View all your alerts from your account

- Change target prices anytime

- Pause or delete alerts as needed

- Turn alert emails on or off in your email preferences

**Limits:**

- Free: 5 active alerts

- Premium: Unlimited alerts

Help keep our prices accurate by contributing:

**Submitting Prices:**

1. Open the product page for the item

2. Submit the price and the store where you saw it

3. Note if it's a special offer or the regular price

**Voting:**

- Other users can vote on whether a submitted price is accurate

- Prices that look wrong can be flagged by the community

**Best Practices:**

- Double-check the product name and size

- Note if it's a special offer or regular price

- Submit prices as soon as possible after seeing them

**Points:**

- You earn points for contributing prices and for referring friends

- 500 points can be redeemed for 30 days of Premium

Personalize your account in Settings:

**Profile Settings:**

**Store Loyalty Memberships:**

- Set whether your profile is visible to other users

- Choose whether to show your favorites and contributions

- View your current plan

- Upgrade, or cancel your Premium subscription

**Your Data:**

- Download your data as a file

- Delete your account

MasterMarket is a web app — there's nothing to install. Open mastermarketapp.com in your phone's browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) and log in with your account.

**What You Can Do on Your Phone:**

- Compare prices while you shop

- Look up products by barcode

- Manage your baskets and shopping lists

- Submit prices you see in store

- Manage your price alerts

**Tip:** Add the site to your home screen from your browser's menu for quick access.

We don't have an app on the App Store or Google Play at the moment.

Quick fixes for common issues:

**Login Problems:**

- Check email and password spelling

- Try password reset if forgotten

- Clear browser cache and cookies

- Disable browser extensions temporarily

- Try incognito/private browsing mode

**Price Loading Issues:**

- Refresh the page

- Check your internet connection

**Search Not Working:**

- Check spelling of search terms

- Try broader search terms

- Check your email preferences in Settings
